King of the Pippins is a most useful and versatile apple variety. This variety is known as ‘Reine des Reinettes’ in France where it is highly prized by patisserie chefs for making Tarte Tatin. King of the Pippins is also useful for cider and juice. It has good disease resistance and is among the best multi-purpose varieties in our catalogue. This variety is very highly recommended.
