Description
Ozark Pippin apple trees were first grown on the farm of a Benjamin Ford in Washington County,
Tennessee in 1850. In 1896, the apple was renamed to “Deaderick”, presumably to avoid confusion
with Ozark/Ozark Gold Apples. In the late 1900s the name “Ozark Pippin” started to re-emerge.
Fruits are large and juicy and will keep well. Must surely be the first time this variety has visited
Ireland.
