Description
Broxwood Foxwhelp apple is most likely a sport of the ancient ‘Foxwhelp’ which was discovered growing near a Fox’s den in the 1660’s. By the 1700’s, this variety was very highly valued and cider made from it was deemed of equal value to French wine, improving with age. Broxwood Foxwhelp bears dark red fruits producing a full bodied, golden, medium bittersharp juice similar to Bulmers Foxwhelp. Broxwood Foxwhelp is excellent as a single variety cider or for blending.
